‘The vineyard is made up of men and women who understand that we can’t truly worship GOD WITHOUT LOVING AND VALUING WHAT GOD DOES’ – ANDY SMITH
The Vineyard movement is committed to loving our communities and spending the power of God in helping the poor and those on the margins of society
The Sparrow Centre houses the Compassion Projects of Antrim Coast Vineyard Church.
In January 2022 we began to share our vision of a hygiene store where families could choose toiletries free of charge in a place of dignity and hope. As the cost of living crisis deepened, we kept dreaming of what could be and believed and prayed for a unit to become available.
In October 2022, our Compassion centre was opened in Ledcom unit 2. We were drawn to a verse from 1 Samuel 2: “God puts poor people on their feet again; he rekindles burned-out lives with fresh hope, restoring dignity and respect to their lives”, and so we named the hygiene store Refresh.

We named it ‘The Sparrow Centre’, inspired by the verse in Matthew 10, that says not one sparrow will fall to the ground outside the Father’s care. We pray for every individual, every family that comes through our door. We want to show our Antrim Coast community, through practical support, that we passionately care for them and that not one person is forgotten by God.”
Larne Foodbank provides emergency food and support to those who find themselves in a time of crisis. Volunteers record, stock and distribute food donations ready for those who need it most.
Antrim Coast Vineyard financially and prayerfully supports Larne Foodbank and is also a point of referral for anyone in need. We also collect donations on our regular ‘Giving Sundays’ throughout the year. Together we can ensure that no-one in the Larne area goes to bed hungry.
We support the work of Stand By Me, an organisation who rescue children, and then provide the care, love and attention they need to thrive. They work in seven countries, establishing schools, homes and care centres at the centre of communities by identifying and building networks of trustworthy local people, who are motivated by the change they want to see in their communities. This way, they respond to challenges in a quick and culturally appropriate way, giving unparalleled levels of child care wherever they work.
“We believe that anyone can reach across the world and enable one more of our kids to have a chance at a great life. By sponsoring a child, or through one of the many other ways you can get involved, you can change everything for one more child.“
The DISASTERS EMERGENCY COMITTEE brings together 15 leading aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas. In these times of crisis, people in life-and-death situations need their help and our mission is to save, protect and rebuild lives through effective humanitarian response.
Pooling resources to work as one, they are pivotal in co-ordinating the UK public’s response to overseas disasters. In collaboration with their Rapid Response Network of national media and corporate partners, they raise the alarm to the UK public and set up easy ways for them to donate.
They have immediate impact, getting aid to people who need it, fast. So in times of crisis overseas, Antrim Coast Vineyard is delighted to partner financially and prayerfully with DEC in the delivery of quick and effective aid relief.
