The Antrim Coast and Glens is an area of County Antrim which was designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1988.
Antrim Coast Vineyard’s name was inspired by the famous Antrim Coast Road; regarded as one of the great must-travel routes throughout the world. Our stunning corner of Ireland has seen a dramatic increase in tourism in recent years, as it has become increasingly recognised for it’s breath-taking coastline. It runs along the coast for about 25 miles (40 km), from the Black Arch in Larne to the Red Arch near Cushendall, passing through the villages of Ballygalley, Glenarm, Carnlough and Waterfoot.
We gather in the YMCA building situated in Larne, which is derived from the Irish: Latharna – the name of a Gaelic territory. It is the first town on the scenic Antrim Coast Road and is known as the ‘Gateway To Ulster.’ Although a small market town on the east coast of Ireland, Larne is home to a major passenger and freight roll-on roll-off port. It is also known for it’s many parks, beaches, a bustling High Street and the thriving Larne Football Club in Inver Park.
The Larne district has seen its fair share of trials and tribulations over it’s history, but it is considered ‘home’ by more than 20,000 people. We love Larne; and at Antrim Coast Vineyard we are partnering with God to rewrite the story of our beloved town, to see every heart, home and headland transformed by the extraordinary love of Jesus.
Why not come and join us and be part of something amazing?
